IANTD Trimix Diver
The IANTD Trimix Diver program is dedicated to those individuals already involved in deep diving activities. The Trimix course is not designed to be used as an enticement to divers who are content to remain in normal recreational or Nitrox diving limits. |
Trimix affords a safer method for deep water exploration for divers who
must dive deep or perform with a clear head in intermediate depths up to
100mt (333 fsw). The IANTD Trimix program establishes the need to be
self-sufficient. This course also teaches dual stage bottles. The program is a full hypoxic trimix qualification, which provides a safe means of diving to 100mt (330ft). You will learn to use any combination of nitrox, trmix, oxygen and air including those which require a travel gas for surface or shallow water use. During the course you will have to complete all
academic portions of the IANTD Trimix Diver Student Workbook (and if
appropriate, specific Rebreather materials) and reference text material
from the IANTD Encyclopedia of Technical and Mixed Gas Diving. You will
conduct 4 dives for a minimum of 320 minutes run time. These will
include multiple stages and each dive must include at least 2 gas
switches to maximum depth of 100mt. For divers wishing to complete the course on a closed-circuit rebreather additional skill requirements may apply, depending on the type of rebreather. Please contact us for details.
