TDI Intro Cave Diver
The TDI Introductory Cave Course takes a serious look at the skills needed to conduct safe and enjoyable cave dives. This is the second level in the development of safe techniques for cave diving, directly building upon the cavern diver course. During the cave course your TDI Instructor will teach you the proper techniques for diving in a cave environment while staying on the main line. |
This introduction to cave diving is not intended to train divers for all
facets of cave diving. The course develops and establishes minimum
skills, knowledge, dive planning and preparation, problem solving
procedures, swimming techniques, emergency procedures and the basic
abilities necessary to safely cave dive within limited penetrations.
Mastering buoyancy control, working with a reel, a light, and awareness
in the cave is necessary to safely enjoy another dimension in cave
diving. Those familiar with doubles or those intending to enrol in the Full Cave Diver training program can do so at this stage. During this course you will cover topics and skills such as:
