It’s important to note that in some regions an open water qualification may not be sufficient to dive independently from a local dive centre. Such an example is Malta where an Advanced Open Water certificate (or equivalent) is required. For more information you can visit our Local regulations page.
What ever the case may be continuing your diving education and experience is key to your safety and enjoy while diving. Not only you will become more knowledgeable about the right diving techniques but as part of the process you will slowly build confidence and experience that are fundamental for become ultimately a safe responsible diver.
The continuation of the course from Scuba Diver to Open Water Level requires the completion of Modules 4 & 5 from the Open Water Manual, 2 confined training sessions and 2 Open water dives.
For this reason you should bring along your copy of the manual however if this is not possible you can purchase one directly from our dive shop.
